What a great man. I knew Phillip in the 70's and 80's when he used to visit the Sandfield Children's unit on the City Hospital Campus, twice a week, to 'sing' with the children and staff at the unit. He was truly loved by all. I have many fond memories of him, a very special man. I remember his 'marathon' piano playing, his incredible ability to 're-write' the music to well known Christmas carols. He 'supported' our singing escapades, when we presented our own versions of the musicals. I sang many a duet with him and remember a stunt when we pulled the piano across the 'stage' as he carried on playing. But the one thing I will always remember is the love he showed to the children, who had severe mental and physical disabilities, and I know he was truly loved by them. A great man of God, a privilege to know him and he will never be forgotten.
